Snap-on Business Solutions Inc., part of Snap-on Incorporated, announced today that Tim Chambers has been appointed as President of the division. Chambers has held a variety of leadership roles at Snap-on since joining the company in 2004, including president of Snap-on Tool Storage. "I am extremely delighted to be given the opportunity to lead Snap-on Business Solutions," said Chambers. "This is a solid organization built on innovative technology. We will continue to design and deliver the world-class productivity solutions our customers expect." Chambers brings a focus on solutions that drive productivity for original equipment manufacturers in the automotive, construction, agriculture, powersports, outdoor power, commercial vehicle, and adjacent markets. To improve Snap-on's ability to serve these OEMs, Chambers will be combining two of Snap-on's business units that service OEMs and their dealerships. "By creating one organization focused on OEMs and franchised dealers, we can offer a complete spectrum of information systems, diagnostic solutions, and tools and equipment, all of which are essential for our customers as they achieve their critical business objectives," said Chambers. Chambers continued, "More than ever, vehicle and equipment manufacturers need interoperable, efficient solutions. They need to improve each customer's service experience, increase original parts sales, and reduce costs throughout their supply chains. Likewise, dealerships need solutions to boost productivity in their service operations and increase customer loyalty." Snap-on helps OEMs and dealers reduce risk, improve productivity and repair quality, raise service capacity, drive parts and service sales volume, and increase their profits. The expanded product offering from Snap-on's Business Solutions division includes electronic parts catalogs, diagnostic solutions, tools and equipment programs, warranty process automation software, e-commerce solutions, and dealer network development systems that range from dealer viability and risk assessment tools to transactional reporting systems. In his time with Snap-on, Chambers has served as President of Tool Storage, Vice President of Sales and Service for Snap-on Equipment, and Director of Product Management for Snap-on Equipment. Prior to joining Snap-on, Tim served as Vice President – Commercial Operations for iPower Technologies, and held various engineering, marketing, and business development positions for CNH Global. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Tim currently serves on the Gateway Technical College Foundation Board of Directors.
