On November 7, 2013 Microsoft released Internet Explorer 11 to the web. Then on November 12, 2013 Microsoft released Internet Explorer 11 to Windows 7 users via automatic update. At that point, unattended upgrades began and dealers started calling Snap-on, unable to use their EPC.
Several dealers have reported that their EPC does not function properly when using Internet Explorer 11 (IE11). In addition, there are third-party applications which do not function properly with IE11.
Snap-on recommends that dealers return to the prior version of Internet Explorer until required parts applications are IE11 compatible. If you have your computers configured for automatic updates, IE11 may get pushed to your machines unknowingly. To prevent that, the following URL will allow you to download a toolkit which will uninstall IE11 and keep it from automatically re-installing:
