Snap-on Business Solutions Announces Plan for New Headquarters

Richfield, Ohio, September 25, 2008 - Snap-on Business Solutions Inc. (SBS), a division of Snap-on Incorporated announced plans to build a new 105,000 square foot headquarters building in Richfield, OH on an 8.5 acre site located across from their current building in the Kinross Lakes Office Park. SBS also announced the selection of CAM Inc. as the builder/developer for the project.

SBS has associates at a Wooster location that will consolidate into the new headquarters building which will then have over 300 associates. "We require additional space to accommodate all of our associates and provide space for continued growth," said Mary Beth Siddons, SBS President. SBS's current Richfield facility is approximately 85,000 square feet.

The project is anticipated to be completed in the third quarter of 2009. SBS has obtained commitments from the Village of Richfield for various incentives to retain SBS in the Village and provide Tax Incremental Financing to assist with land and project costs. The Summit County Port Authority has committed to financing the project and providing development incentives.

"Richfield Village is fortunate to have Snap-on Business Solutions, one of our region's most innovative companies, as a corporate citizen," said Mayor Michael Lyons. "We wish them continued success in our community," he added.

The Summit County Department of Development began working on this project in early 2008. "As we have seen with similar projects in Summit County, the collaborative efforts between Summit County, the local community and the Summit County Port Authority have proven to be an invaluable tool for economic development," stated Russell M. Pry, Summit County Executive. "Our relationships with the local communities allow us to partner in offering a competitive economic incentive package to companies looking to relocate or expand," Executive Pry added. "It is an exciting day in Summit County when you can announce that a company like Snap-On Business Solutions will continue to call Summit County home."

SBS had previously obtained a job creation tax credit commitment from the State of Ohio's Department of Development for creating 50 new jobs in the State over a three year period commencing when the project is completed.

"Snap-on Business Solutions is an example of the wide-reaching collaboration among our regional partners that Ohio needs to support and accelerate our companies' success," said Lt. Governor Lee Fisher, who also serves as Director of the Ohio Department of Development. "We are pleased to support this business' continued growth and retain good-paying jobs in Northeast Ohio."

"We have worked closely with the State, County, Board of the Summit County Port Authority and Village officials and are pleased with the incentive commitments we have been able to obtain," said Siddons. "We feel Richfield is a good geographic location for our associate base, providing great accessibility and increasing amenities. SBS has been part of the Richfield community for over 10 years and we look forward to our continuing relationship," she added.
